Parties & Events in the KGV Sports Bar

The KGV Sports Bar is available for hire on Saturday evenings for parties and celebrations. Although we do not offer exclusive private hire, Saturday evenings tend to be fairly quiet. Friday evenings are usually very busy with the meat draw, hence we do not tend to host parties in the Sports Bar on a Friday evening. Please also be mindful that we are first and foremost a Sports Bar so we will not host parties or events in the bar during live sporting events.

Please note we do not accept 18th or 21st parties.

Children’s Parties at KGV

The community rooms at KGV offer an ideal space to host a children’s party. There are two community rooms available, The Spensley Room which is the larger of the two rooms, and The Lansdown Room - ideal for smaller groups. Both rooms are located on the ground floor next to each other.

Our community rooms are provided as an empty space. Tables and chairs are available for you to set up as required and are stored in the cupboards located in each room. We offer a 3 hour party package rate to include a 2 hour party + half hour either side for set-up and clear-up.

Small toddler sized bouncy castles only are permitted within the Spensley Room due to the low ceiling height of 8ft. You should speak to your castle provider to discuss requirements (they know which castles fit the space). Please note we are not able to provide any outdoor space for bouncy castles due to cricket and football being in play.

⚽ We also offer Football Party Packages which include use of our outdoor 3G space + a room for drinks and food afterwards. ⚽

NOTE! We are not currently able to offer food for your event, but you are most welcome to order in or provide your own food.

Fundraising Events

We offer FREE HIRE of the KGV Sports Bar for fundraising events held on a Thursday evening. These are usually Quiz Nights, Bingo, Race Nights. We can seat a maximum of 14 teams of 6 people, so 84 people for a quiz night. Use of a TV screen is available should you need to plug in a laptop and a small PA system is also available.

Meat draws can be arranged on your behalf to help with your fundraising on the night. We are not currently able to offer food for your event, but you are most welcome to order in or provide your own food. All alcohol however must be purchased on our licensed premises.

The Legends Terrace Bar

 The outdoor Legends Terrace Bar offers an outdoor seating area with outdoor bar facilities that can be booked for exclusive parties, celebrations and corporate events. A large portable screen is also available for hire for the screening of live sports events such as Wimbledon, Grand National, football matches - ideal for corporate hospitality. Or watch the cricket live at the KGV with exclusive access to your own private bar!

A staircase joins the outdoor Terrace Bar to the balcony above with access to the KGV Sports Bar at first floor level in the KGV Clubhouse. Outside catering facilities can be organised as required. Simply contact us to discuss your requirements.

The outdoor Legends Terrace Bar is available for private hire. Ideal for corporate events, birthdays and celebrations.
